Dear IDECAT-members, dear colleagues,
In 2005, the European
community has launched a Network of Excellence called IDECAT. This
organization includes 37 laboratories from 17 institutions gathering
over 500 researchers with a broad multidisciplinary expertise
covering most of the aspects of catalysis: applied and fundamental,
heterogeneous, homogeneous and bio-catalysis, as well as research
areas such as surface science, modeling, engineering, and
spectroscopy.
The IDECAT network has
successfully set up a yearly scientific meeting, which takes place
at a remote place where scientists can freely discuss in a relaxed
atmosphere from early morning to late evening but with a free
afternoon for any kind of activities. This set-up is optimal to
maximize interactions between participants, i.e., Ph.D. students,
post-doctoral fellows, young and senior faculty members, as well as
industrial scientists.
The next meeting will take
place from May 12, 2010 afternoon, to May 16, 2010 breakfast. The
meeting will be held on the beautiful island of Porquerolles on the
Mediterranean seashore (south of France), easily reached from
Toulon/Hyeres, Nice or Marseille airport.
The topic of this fourth
IDECAT Conference on Catalysis will be again very broad with a
special focus on Emerging challenges in catalysis. The meeting will
include approximately 22 invited lectures of 45 minutes (including
15 min of questions) as well as 4 oral communications selected on
site from the posters: 20 minutes + 10 min of questions.
This meeting will again be
held on the beautiful island of Porquerolles on the Mediterranean
seashore (south of France), easily reached from Toulon/Hyeres, Nice
or Marseille airports (via Paris, Frankfurt, London).
The full program will be
known very soon, registration will open in January, but you can put
the dates on your agenda and you can already check the
website:
